While running build 040 and using packet 1 scanning I encountered this run-time error again; run-time error '-2147417848 (80010108)' The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. |

This runtime error leaves a locked up process in the background that hogs cpu time. So it seems it is one and the same problem that I experienced before. |

Hmm, not sure on that error...I will need to research it. Sounds like a forceful disconnect from Yahoo though from the description you gave. |

Perhaps. It only occurs when running Packet 1. No problems with Packet 2. |

I wonder if they are trying to patch it or something. I will look into it and if its not resolved by the public release...I will just put documentation about using packet2 instead. Does it do it after a certain amount of time of starting a continuous scan? Does it work on a manual scan? |

It does not do it on manual scan. I also find that it does not detect if my test id is online when running packet 1 manual scan. For continuous scan it runs through 3 to 4 cycles, then it just breaks down with that run-time error. I can tell you that the 3.5 works with continuous packet 1 scanning. So either it is a change in the code that is behind it. Or using packet 1 at 2 minute intervals cause yahoo servers to fight back. |

Interesting...I will look at the code again since it works with 3.5. |

When I said it was working in 3.5 vs 4.0.040 it was that it did not give a run-time error. Both versions still have a problem with packet 1 scanning though; they dont see ids that are online. |

That is the odd thing...it detects me as online when I am invisible and off when I am offline. Are you invisible when you scan or actually available? I know some previous packets in older versions of YInformer acted that way. |

One id is invisible, one id is visible in my test run. Both are detected as being "offline" with packet 1. |
